We were forced to buy a new refrigerator after the compressor on our previous LG failed after just 5 1/2 years. This new fridge is nice. There are a couple of features our previous one had that I wish this one had i.e. a separate compartment for deli foods etc with a cover and 2 full sized veggie bins instead of a full sized one and one about 3/4s the size. I also with the freezer had 2 bins instead of one. However weve made it work just fine. My biggest complaint is that the ice cubes are not very big compared to our previous ice maker. They melt faster than the other because they are much smaller. Also ice cubes in the dispenser have clogged it more than a few times since weve had this refrigerator about 6 weeks. Ive had to take the whole ice bin out and shake it to loosen them up. I do like the taller shelves and the fact that the top shelf in the fridge part isnt obstructed by a lowering of the ceiling near the back as was the case in our old fridge. I do hope that this refrigerator lasts longer than the previous one. A 5 1/2 year lifespan is not long enough for a refrigerator or any other appliance especially for people like us who are senior citizens retired and on a fixed income.

I love this fridge it really utilites the most space with deep drawers tons of door room that even allows for large beverage bottles ok wine bottle in my case and lots of shelf room. Other than the compressor problem the refrigerator and freezer work great. One other major inconvenience is the ice maker is horrible. It puts out very little ice. Ive had my compressor changed twice had the refrigerator since 2015. Moving forward I hope not to have anymore issues.

Great Refrigerator until the compressor quit

I bought this item in September of 2018 and until two weeks ago it worked perfectly never needed any repair work etc until I awoke on a Wednesday morning to find my kitchen flooded from a non working compressor that had stopped during the night. My fridge is 4 1/2 years old still under warranty and this should not have happened. After spending half a morning attempting to locate an LG repairman all was set in place and it was repaired the next day after replacing several parts some under warranty compressor it was back in working order. Ive never had such trouble with any LG applliance until now.

I bought this unit 2.5 years ago. It has worked fine but I recently had to replace the compressor unit. I am glad that the manufacturer has a 10 year warranty on the compressor only. The ice maker is ideal for a 2 person household so there is a lot of freezer room for food. Satisfied with this unit overall.

Worst Customer Service Ever

Disappointed in LG CRYING 5/9/2023

Started having compressor issues in March confirmed with my own service tech after calling the issue into LG paid to have my own tech confirm the issue. After multiple calls e-mails and texts into LG I have taken a full day of vacation to wait for an LG tech to show up no call no show and still have zero resolution. Two and a half months into this issue and I want to cry I am out a vacation day time and lots of frustration. I do have a lot of documentation and a bad refrigerator that is going to quit at any moment if that counts for anything PS this unit was a part of a legal issue awhile back ... wish I would have done my research prior to purchasing

I bought this fridge 5 years and 2 months ago. The class action lawsuit extended the warranty to 5 years. Two months later it died The fridge was made in Mexico. This will be my last LG product. Customer service is off-shore and very hard to understand. Rather than work with them to fix it replace condenser I decided to buy a better product made in the USA.

Disappointed with LG Fridge LSXS26326S

I bought this refrigerator about 4 1/2 years ago with a 5 yr. extended warranty. Within a few months I started having ice maker issues and would only work if freezer temperature was set at 4 degrees. Then a little over 4 yrs. it stopped cooling both freezer and refrigerator lost all my frozen food and refrigerated food. I started a repair request and had to wait almost 3 weeks for them to tell me that they didnt have anyone to repair the refrigerator. LG then offered me a refund of $544 which I appreciated but it only covered a small amount of a replacement that I had to purchase at Home Depot.

Last power surge and outage caused compressor to burn up. Fridge nolonger works at all. We are waiting a month to receive new fridge from new manufacturer because uncovered repairs would cost as much as new fridge. LG was a waste of money.

Love how the light inside the fridge gets brighter

For the most part Im happy. The only issue I have is the design of the ice maker the agitator that spins to move the ice to dispense doesnt make good contact with the actual ice and therefore doesnt end up dispensing much ice. I constantly have to remove the tray to get any ice.

Lasted 7 months

Most of my appliances and electronics are LG and Im usually happy with them. But this fridge only lasted 7 months and then no longer cooled. Since it is in a vacation rental I had to purchase another fridge immediately. This fridge is also on the list of their refrigerators that are in the lawsuit. Ive seen in responses to other reviews that LG requests a msg sent on twitter or FB which Ive done through facebook. Ill update this review once Ive heard back from them.

Unreliable product bad customer service

This refrigerator failed shortly after the warranty ran out 6 years. LG is good with producing products destined for the landfill in an inordinately short period of time. Impressive environmental ethic. It is not repairable as the refrigerant leaked out and the leak is not able to be found. They offered 15 percent off a new LG up to $500 dollars Their party line is like saying we crossed the warranty finish line so legally we have no obligation or interest in doing the right thing. I think their tag line should be LG lifes good but our products arent

My first LG fridge will probably also be my last

I bought this refrigerator several years ago but was not prepared for the inverter to die so fast Luckily the repair was covered under the warranty but the new inverter is loud. If I had originally bought something this loud it wouldnt have lasted 24 hours before being sent back. There humming noise is so loud that it sounds like something has broken. You can literally hear the buzz from other rooms. Before this repair I was happy with the unit but since the repair I cant wait for it to break again so that I am incentivized to buy a fridge from a different brand and return to having a quiet kitchen.

Everything worked great until the compressor failed. LG found a local tech to come out to the house and replaced in very quick time. No cost to me for what could have been a very expensive repair.

I bought this fridge 3 years ago and Im writing this review because the compressor went out and I had to have a repair made. LG covered the repair and 8 days after I notified LG. I had my fridge repaired under the manufacturer warranty. This fridge has the best ice and Im super thankful it was able to be fixed for free/

I brought my LG refrigerator 3 years ago. It has stopped cooling causing me to immediately purchase another refrigerator for my rental property. LG is willing to cover the repairs as it has a class action lawsuit filed. Getting through the process almost drive me over the edge. You cant speak to a live person when you do you get incorrect information. Customer service is in India or somewhere else. Still not resolved - 4 months later

Bad customer service

The extended warranty has on it 300 dollars for lost food. Was given 150 first then had to call back and argue with them. They said they would only put in for another 100. Refrigerator freezer went from not working to freezing milk in the refrigerator. Called back for them to just say turn it warmer. That is not fixing the problem. Was going out of town and they were wanting me to change my vacation so they could schedule an appointment. Not helpful at all.

Over 1 month to repair 2 year old refrigerator
